Make these easy, crowd-pleasing Buffalo Chicken Sliders for your next gathering. Juicy shredded chicken tossed in spicy buffalo sauce, topped with melted cheese, and baked on soft Hawaiian rolls with a garlic butter finish. This is the ultimate game day snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (12 count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
  • 1/2 cup Buffalo sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack or Colby cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Optional toppings: Ranch dressing, blue cheese crumbles, sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, Buffalo sauce, melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until the chicken is fully coated.
  3. Carefully slice the entire package of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected in one piece. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Distribute the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the bottom layer of rolls.
  5. Sprinkle the Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses evenly over the chicken mixture.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese layer.
  7. In a small bowl, mix any remaining melted butter with a pinch of garlic powder. Brush this mixture evenly over the top of the rolls.
  8. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the tops of the rolls are lightly golden brown.
  10. Slice the sliders apart carefully between the rolls. Serve immediately with ranch dressing or blue cheese crumbles on the side, if desired.

Notes

  • To prevent the rolls from getting soggy, make sure your shredded chicken mixture is not overly wet before assembling the sliders.
  • For extra flavor, brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter mixed with a little dried parsley before baking.
  • If you prefer a milder heat, reduce the amount of Buffalo sauce slightly or add a teaspoon of ranch dressing directly into the chicken mixture.
