Make this rich and flavorful Marry Me Salmon at home. This creamy salmon recipe delivers impressive, date-night quality flavor using simple ingredients, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes in oil, drained and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Rub them lightly with olive oil and season both sides generously with salt and pepper. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Bake the salmon for 12 to 15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  4. While the salmon bakes, prepare the sauce. Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not let the garlic burn.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let it reduce slightly for 2 minutes.
  6. Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Continue stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  7. Remove the sauce from the heat.
  8. Once the salmon is cooked, transfer the fillets to serving plates. Spoon the creamy sun-dried tomato sauce generously over each salmon fillet.
  9. Garnish with fresh chopped basil before serving immediately.

Notes

  • For a low cleanup salmon recipe, you can bake the salmon directly in the sauce on an oven-safe dish instead of making a separate pan sauce.
  • If you prefer a tangier flavor, add 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard to the cream sauce.
  • This recipe works well for a quick salmon for two; simply halve the ingredients.
