Make tender, juicy steak bites effortlessly in your slow cooker. This simple crockpot steak recipe uses a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed sirloin steak into the basin of your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the steak evenly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss gently to coat the meat.
  3. Pour the beef broth over the steak cubes.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours or on HIGH for 1.5 to 2 hours, until the steak is tender.
  5. About 15 minutes before serving, prepare the garlic butter sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  6. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Do not brown the garlic.
  7. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the steak bites in the slow cooker. Stir gently to coat.
  8. Stir in the fresh parsley. Serve the crockpot steak bites immediately, perhaps over mashed potatoes or rice.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can sear the steak cubes in a hot skillet for 1-2 minutes per side before adding them to the slow cooker.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, remove the steak near the end of cooking and simmer the liquid on the stovetop until reduced slightly.
  • This recipe works well with sirloin or tender cuts of beef suitable for slow cooking.
